An outdated bootloader EEPROM can cause this error. Update it using Raspberry Pi Imager:1. Select Raspberry Pi 4, then Misc utility images → Bootloader → SD Card Boot.2. Write the recovery image to a spare SD card. This erases the selected card.3. Insert the recovery card into the Pi and power it on.4. Wait for a green HDMI screen and a steadily flashing activity LED, indicating completion.5. Disconnect power, reinsert the RePlayOS SD card, and boot again. This procedure also resets the bootloader configuration. |

Disable WPA3 on the Broadcom Wi-Fi adapter to force WPA2:1. Edit /etc/iwd/main.conf over SSH using Ethernet. If SSH is unavailable, power off the Pi and mount the SD card's Linux root partition on a computer that supports ext4, then edit /etc/iwd/main.conf on that partition.2. Preserve the existing contents and append these two lines:[DriverQuirks]SaeDisable=brcmfmac3. Reboot the Pi (safely unmount and reinsert the SD card first if edited offline). This disables WPA3 for the Broadcom adapter while allowing WPA2 connections to mixed-mode networks. |
